A treasure trove of Colorado antiques is up for the bidding this Saturday, June 6 through the Central City Opera’s Antiques Auction, open to the public and starting at 1 pm at Baker Auction House in Denver. Pieces come from the rooms of the historic Chain O’ Mines Hotel in Central City and the original Teller House Hotel (now owned by Central City Opera) and date back to the late 1800s. You’ll find this fabulous "courting bench," Victorian rocking chairs, ornately carved bed frames and dressers to match, mirrors, and many other one-of-a-kind finds. Get there early and pick out your piece of Colorado history. Preview the collection starting at 11 am, Saturday. Proceeds from the sale benefit Central City Opera programs.
